Kirie Pedersen earned her MA in writing with Annie Dillard, Pulitzer Prize winner, as thesis chair. Her BA magna cum laude is also in writing through a student-designed interdisciplinary major at Fairhaven College, Western Washington University, Bellingham, Washington.
Kirie has taught all levels of college writing since 1980. Her own writing has appeared in magazines, newspapers, and textbooks. She has worked with international students who speak English as a Second Language and with graduate students from Yale, Harvard, Northwestern, Mills, Brown, and other top colleges and universities throughout the United States.
Kirie has edited reports and Web content for Fortune 500 as well as non-profit corporations.
Kirie is a pioneer in online education. In 1999 she joined InstantKnowledge as Executive Editor and developed a network of professors and graduate students to create educational materials for college students. KnowledgeNotes, as they were called, were sold to ProQuest, available in most on-line college and university libraries. Kirie Pedersen is faculty at University of Phoenix and Kaplan University. |
